Working with me is about more than just showing up and pressing the shutter. I take a thoughtful, collaborative approach designed to create honest, intentional, and impactful visuals. Here's what you can expect when we work together:

The Initial Interview: Setting the Foundation

It all begins with a conversation.

In our initial call, I’ll ask questions about your project so I can understand your goals, your challenges, and what success looks like for you. Why now? What story are you trying to tell? What outcome are you hoping for?

As we talk, I’m listening closely—taking notes, considering your production needs, and identifying what will make your visuals resonate. This sets the tone for everything to come, ensuring that when shoot day arrives, we’re aligned, efficient, and focused on creating strong visual work.

Research: Learning Before the Lens

Before the camera comes out, I dig in. Every client is different, and I tailor my preparation to your story.

I learn about your business, your brand, or your individual work so I can approach the shoot with context and clarity. If you’re a company, I’ll research your service or product to highlight it with care. If you’re an individual, I’ll work to understand what makes your story unique so I can guide you into a relaxed, focused, and natural state on camera.

This preparation ensures the shoot is not just technically sound—it’s emotionally and visually aligned with your message.

Preparation: Behind-the-Scenes Work That Matters

From building the schedule to scouting locations, guiding stylists, or managing lighting setups, preparation is key.

Whether we’re producing a full-scale campaign or a single portrait, my team and I work ahead of time to smooth out the details. We arrive early, setup the space, and create an environment that supports authentic storytelling moments. The more prepared we are, the more natural the shoot feels—and that’s when the best images are made.

Planning for Obstacles: Staying Flexible

We don’t create in a perfect world—and that’s okay.

I plan with flexibility in mind, building productions that can adapt to real-world constraints. We anticipate potential hiccups and always have a Plan B ready to go. This approach keeps us calm, nimble, and focused, even when the unexpected happens.

Comfort: Where the Real Story Emerges

The most powerful images come from genuine moments—and that starts with trust.

My job is to create a space where people feel seen and at ease. I keep the focus on the connection between myself and the subject, not the equipment or the noise around us. My process is conversational, not performative. That’s how we create imagery that feels real—because it is.

Every project is different, and the best way to see if we’re a good fit is to have a conversation. Let’s connect.
